SIDS PROTECTION
PROTECTION FROM SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome).
With SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) we refer to the sudden death of children under the age of one year (more often between the second and fourth month of life), which occurs during sleep and which, even after very careful investigations (including autopsy), still does not find any explanation.
However, some behaviors have been identified that can significantly reduce their incidence.
The adoption of these simple rules, in the countries where they have been disseminated through mass training campaigns, has led to a reduction in the incidence of SIDS:
- The baby must be put to sleep on his stomach
- The environment must never be excessively hot
- The mattress must be the exact size of the cot
Avoiding stuffed cushions, plush toys or bumpers Albero Bambino contributes to the reduction of SIDS with the use of side rails for the Cradle and the Cot equipped with a fabric (see detail on the left) that allows perfect breathing even if the baby places the mouth.
The cot - awarded in 2017 with the European Product Design Award - is internationally designed and patented for not needing the side bumper, which, as demonstrated in the United States, can cause SIDS by suffocation.
Made of solid beech, it has breathable, hypoallergenic, flame retardant and soft sides like cotton.
With Albero Bambino your children will sleep happily and safely.
